About the position

The Millwright Project Manager at P1 Construction is responsible for managing construction projects, particularly in the industrial millwright sector. This role involves overseeing field staff, ensuring subcontractor performance, and maintaining compliance with contract documents and safety regulations. The position requires effective communication with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects or assist senior management on large projects.
• Oversee the project's field staff and subcontractor performance.
• Ensure vendor compliance with contract documents and safety regulations.
• Maintain constructive relationships and supportive communications with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, community officials, and P1 staff.
• Effectively manage the construction project to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in a construction or mechanical engineering related discipline, OR at least five years of millwright/mechanical field trade experience, OR equivalent combination of the above.
• Minimum of 2 years of construction project management experience, preferably in industrial millwright project management.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building technologies.
• Familiarity with virtual design and construction processes.
