About the position
Advantage Labor, Inc. is seeking skilled Recip/Engine Mechanics, Millwrights, and Pump & Compressor Mechanics to join their team in Portland, TX. The role requires proficiency in reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and performing mechanical tasks such as changing bearings and seals. The pay ranges from $28 to $36 per hour, depending on experience, and positions are available in various locations including Freeport, Bay City, and Point Comfort, TX.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use measuring tools such as mics to ensure precision in mechanical tasks.
- Change bearings and seals as required in mechanical systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on engines and compressors.
- Travel to various job sites as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or Mechanic.
- Valid Identification (ID) and Social Security.
- Current TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
- Current Basic Plus certification.
- Own hand tools up to 1 1/4 inches and mics.
- Pass DISA drug test and background check.
