About the position

The Millwright position at Paramount Placement involves the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of motors, pumps, and generators. This role is essential for maintaining plant equipment and production machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, troubleshoot, and assemble motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP.
• Move and maintain plant equipment and production machinery.
• Utilize tools such as winches, jacks, hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required.
• Observe all applicable safety requirements and report any unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with disassembly, troubleshooting, and/or reassembly of motors, pumps, and/or generators.
• Own basic tools required for the job.
• Mechanical experience is required.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
• Previous experience as a millwright or with plant equipment.
• Working knowledge of related company instructions and processes.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience as a millwright (preferred).
• 1 year of experience with pumps and/or generators (preferred).
