About the position

IMI Industrial Services Group is seeking a full-time Millwright local to the Monroe, GA area. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments. The Millwright will use hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools to perform their duties. The position requires the ability to apply intermediate mathematical skills and to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, often at heights. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, and the Millwright must be highly safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings.
• Using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Applying intermediate mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion of fractions and decimals.
• Assembling and installing equipment such as shafting, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps.
• Aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, calipers, and plumb bobs.
• Utilizing logical step-by-step procedures for work, planning, solving problems, and decision making based on quantifiable information.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years' experience as a Millwright.
• NCCER certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.
