About the position
The House Parent position at Milton Hershey School involves married couples residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and nurturing to a group of approximately 8-12 students. Responsibilities
- Reside in on-campus student homes and provide guidance to students.
- Create a family-like structure for students.
- Handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and budgeting.
- Report on student progress and needs.
- Lead students in daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings.
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older.
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students.
