About the position
The Art Instructor position at Orble involves teaching social art classes focused on drawing, sketching, and watercolor techniques to beginners and keen amateurs. Classes are held every other weekend in various outdoor locations across Milwaukee, providing a fun and relaxed environment for students to explore their creativity. The role requires a commitment to regular teaching sessions and the ability to market one's art through social media.
Responsibilities
- Teach drawing, sketching, and/or watercolor to groups of 6-12 students.
- Conduct classes every other weekend, lasting two hours each.
- Select different outdoor locations in Milwaukee for each session.
- Create a fun, social, and relaxed class atmosphere without formal lectures.
- Provide samples of personal artwork for social media marketing.
Requirements
- Proven advanced art skills with qualifications and a portfolio of work.
- Experience in teaching or group leadership is highly desired.
- Punctual and reliable, able to commit to regular work for at least six months.
- Availability to start in two to three weeks.
