The Mine Mobile Maintenance Welder position at KGHM International is a critical role within the Mine Maintenance department at the Robinson Mine located in Ruth, NV. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and executing welding repairs on mobile equipment, ensuring that repairs are conducted in a manner that enhances the safety, efficiency, and endurance of the fleet. The role requires a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both individually and as part of a team. The work schedule involves a rotating shift pattern of 5 days on and 4 days off, alternating between day and night shifts every two weeks. In this role, the welder will be expected to follow safe work procedures and best practices, serving as a role model for safe behavior among peers. Responsibilities include fabricating parts, structures, and tools, whether or not prints or plans are available. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The welder must maintain a clean and safe work area and be willing to perform additional duties as necessary to contribute to the success of KGHM. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include completion of a welding trade school or relevant certifications, as well as experience in the field. Technical skills in various welding and cutting techniques, including Oxy-Acetylene, SMAW (ARC), FCAW-G (MIG), Plasma, and Air-Carbon Arc Cutting, are essential. The ability to read and understand technical prints and operate fabrication equipment is also required. Basic computer skills are necessary for this position.
