About the position

The position at Caterpillar Inc. involves working in Product Support, specifically focusing on the implementation and optimization of Autonomous Haulage Systems in mining operations. The role requires collaboration with customers to enhance system performance and provide technical support, while also ensuring safety and continuous improvement in mining practices. Responsibilities

• Be a safety leader within Command for Hauling operations within the Mine Site.
• Implement and maximize Autonomous Haulage System performance.
• Work on projects to ensure continuous improvement for mining operations within MineStar®.
• Become a trusted advisor for the customer through close collaboration internally and externally.
• Support and advise autonomous haulage system Supervisors, Builders, Controllers and Pit Technicians in all aspects of MineStar® performance, including minimizing downtime.
• Provide technical support to MineStar® Command System on-board maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.
• Support hardware and software installation and configuration through establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
• Measure, benchmark and report on MineStar® Command System performance, and suggest opportunities for improvements.
• Develop best practices and improve processes related to autonomous mining dispatch systems.
• Participate in a tailored training program that may include classroom training, on-the-job training, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mining technology products and various application methods.
• Experience providing post-sales support and maintenance of hardware products.
• Ability to recognize, anticipate, and resolve organizational, operational, or process problems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Mining experience and customer relationship management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar working background.
• Knowledge of mining technology products and product applications, including Fleet Management systems.
