About the position

The Mineral Management Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting Mineral Management Operations and Specialty Asset Management teams. This position involves coordinating various special projects, maintaining internal controls over document retention, and managing sensitive files. The specialist will also be responsible for scanning and indexing invoices, tracking certificates of liability insurance, and ensuring timely completion of tasks while collaborating with team members to achieve collective goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Mineral Management Operations and Specialty Asset Management personnel.
  • Coordinate and assist in various special projects.
  • Maintain internal control over off-site retention by recording, processing, shipping, and retrieving account files.
  • Research information in folders or other retention media as requested.
  • Order, sort, and distribute various reports.
  • Organize and manage file shelf space.
  • Make recommendations concerning file retention or deconstruction according to company policy.
  • Organize, file, and maintain sensitive and confidential documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Request service for copiers, fax machines, printers, and other electronic devices.
  • Scan and index Joint Interest Billing invoices to the SharePoint site.
  • Collect, upload, and track certificates of liability insurance to ensure client compliance.

Requirements

  • Completion of college accounting or computer science classes or 2-3 years' equivalent work-related experience.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
