Based at our plant in Sandersville, GA we are hiring a Mining Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with the Mine Manager, Operations Manager, and Division Mining and Geology group to develop effective short to mid-term mining sequencing to optimize operations and the mine's lifespan. This role also supports the divisional mine planning team with long-term, life-of-mine planning. The Mining Engineer works to develop mine plans, ensuring their implementation through monthly surveying using GPS systems. In addition, this role oversees the monthly reconciliation process for both internal and external material movement and conducts advanced analyses of this movement. You will also process capital expenditure requests for the mining department, assist with mine permitting, and CER development.
