About the position
The Minit Stop Customer Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of a convenience store. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing cash transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth within a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a positive and professional manner as they enter the store.
- Interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Accurately operate the Point of Sale system for cash handling and inventory management.
- Perform basic food service preparation, handling, cooking, and serving.
- Stock and rotate inventory while maintaining store cleanliness.
- Assist customers in signing up for company-sponsored incentives and reward programs.
- Handle difficult customer situations effectively without immediate management presence.
- Follow company protocols and safety regulations regarding food storage and handling.
- Participate in onboarding and training of new employees through work shadowing.
- Report workplace hazards, injuries, and incidents to store leadership.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.
- Previous food handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate a Point of Sale system (training provided).
- Must be able to provide TB Clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
