About the position

As a Climate Impact Project Coordinator with Climate Impact Corps, you will play a crucial role in the fight against climate change by working with nonprofit organizations or public agencies dedicated to environmental preservation. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their communities and are eager to lead projects that help mitigate and adapt to climate change. Your service will involve planning and executing various initiatives aimed at enhancing local environmental solutions and increasing the effectiveness of site services to meet community needs. In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from experienced staff members. You will facilitate outreach and education efforts, sharing your knowledge and experiences with community members. Your responsibilities will include supporting projects such as planting and inventorying trees, designing and managing nursery gravel beds, conducting solar opportunity assessments, installing energy-saving materials, and organizing sustainability projects. Responsibilities

  • Receive training, professional development, and ongoing support from staff
  • Facilitate outreach and education by sharing your experience
  • Support projects such as planting and inventorying trees
  • Design and manage nursery gravel beds
  • Conduct virtual and on-site solar opportunity assessments
  • Install energy-saving materials
  • Organize sustainability projects

Requirements

  • Dependable with a history of good attendance
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to set a pace and maintain a service schedule based on agreed hours commitment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet searches, data entry, email communication, databases, and videoconferencing
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
