About the position

The Minnesota Energy Climate Corps Member/Leader role involves participating in energy conservation projects and audits in public and nonprofit facilities. Members will receive industry-level training while working on impactful energy efficiency projects, engaging community members in sustainability efforts, and contributing to the Corps' values of safety, service, and community.

Responsibilities

  • Complete energy-related service projects in cooperation with fellow members safely and effectively.
  • Abide by Corps program safety regulations and communicate any safety concerns.
  • Contribute actively to the team, demonstrating commitment to Corps values.
  • Display a positive attitude and represent Conservation Corps positively in public.
  • Complete the entire service term as per the Member Service Agreement.
  • Complete and approve timecards and other required reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Ability and desire to work well with others in a team setting.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing plans and project needs.
  • Commitment to upholding Corps values of safety, justice, stewardship, community, and leadership.
  • Dedication to complete the full term of AmeriCorps service.
  • High school degree, GED, or willingness to work towards obtaining a GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in heavy lifting.
  • Valid OSHA 10 certification.
