About the position

The Minor League Nutrition Coordinator for the Philadelphia Phillies is responsible for managing the nutrition program for Minor League players. This role requires a passionate leader who can integrate with various departments to ensure optimal care for players, oversee a team of dietitians, manage budgets, and stay updated on nutrition trends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the departmental standards in accordance with the direction of the department and organization.
  • Oversee a diverse group of dietitian/nutritionists at various Minor League affiliates, including regular check-ins.
  • Ensure the development of each direct report in alignment with both personal and organizational goals.
  • Work with Baseball Operations departments to understand individual and high-level initiatives for players.
  • Maintain consistent communication with other department leaders to ensure progress towards goals.
  • Manage the Minor League Nutrition Budget within parameters set by the director.
  • Stay updated on current performance nutrition trends and ensure staff participates in continuing education.
  • Manage the Minor League nutrition education program that is player-facing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sports performance environment.
  • At least 2 years in a people management role, managing a minimum of 2 employees.
  • Experience managing budgets related to food services.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and abroad for 7-10 days per month.
  • Willingness to relocate to Clearwater, FL.

Nice-to-haves

  • Registered Dietitian license.
  • Previous experience in a professional sports team environment.
  • Experience managing catering for a professional sports team.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
