About the position
As a Caregiver at Sevita, you will play a vital role in providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position focuses on helping participants grow, learn, and live fulfilling lives while developing meaningful relationships. You will be entrusted with supporting individuals in achieving their developmental goals and assisting with personal hygiene, all within a mission-driven environment that values compassion and trust.
Responsibilities
- Help individuals grow, learn, and live well.
- Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene needs.
- Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and multi-task effectively.
- Teamwork and time-management skills.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
