About the position

The Mission Critical Operations Manager at DTCC is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's real estate portfolio in the NY Tristate Area, focusing on critical physical infrastructure. This role involves coordinating maintenance, managing operational budgets, and ensuring the efficient functioning of facilities, including data centers and office buildings. The position requires a strong technical background in engineering and facilities management, with an emphasis on improving operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day operational lead for DTCC's real estate portfolio of properties located in the NY Tristate Area.
  • Coordinate maintenance, incident escalation, OPEX management, capital projects, and long-range forecasts.
  • Responsible for the operation of all critical physical infrastructure including UPS, HVAC, emergency generators, and fire detection/suppression systems.
  • Track and control projects in progress, set up equipment testing schedules, and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain relationships with outsourced contingent labor workforce and critical infrastructure suppliers.
  • Respond to and supervise emergency and corrective maintenance services.
  • Support management in forecasting and managing the department's operational and capital budgets.
  • Assist in developing and implementing operations and maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Facility Management, Data Center Operations, and Security to improve and optimize the current operating model.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in critical facility operations.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical work experience.
  • Strong understanding of operations and maintenance required to support multi-story office buildings and data centers.
  • Familiarity with the design, construction, commissioning, and operations of facilities.
  • Knowledge of MEP infrastructure and understanding of MEP drawings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of PC and test equipment.
  • Experience with MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
