About the position

The Project Manager will lead and direct architectural and engineering (AE) project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination among clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. This role involves overseeing all project activities, including planning, scheduling, staffing, and quality assurance, to meet both client and profit goals. The Project Manager will also participate in proposal processes, manage contracts, and guide teams through all project phases from design to construction administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct AE project teams in all aspects of professional services.
  • Oversee project activities including client and contract requirements, project planning, and staffing needs.
  • Assist in the professional services proposal process and negotiate Owner/Architect Agreements.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor Project Plans and strategies.
  • Manage overall project schedule and develop short-term schedules with the project team.
  • Establish and monitor discipline hour budgets and staffing needs to meet profit goals.
  • Prepare contract forms for Owners and Consultants and monitor adherence to those contracts.
  • Schedule and manage design and technical reviews throughout all project phases.
  • Participate in marketing efforts including client maintenance and proposals.
  • Assist in the post-construction evaluation process when requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure.
  • Minimum ten years' professional experience in AE or Client-Side Project Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from marketing through project close-out.
  • Experience in Mission Critical and/or Data Center design/development is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to motivate others and develop teamwork.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills, and strong organization skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work well under deadline situations.

  • LEED Accredited certification preferred.
