About the position

The Mission Critical Senior Project Manager at P1 Group, Inc. is responsible for overseeing electrical construction projects, particularly in the Midwest region. This role involves managing project staff, ensuring compliance with contract documents, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The position requires significant travel, especially for large construction job sites, and emphasizes a culture of safety and teamwork within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages electrical construction projects or assists senior management on large hyper scale projects in the Midwest.
  • Manages the project's field staff, subcontractor performance, and vendor compliance.
  • Thoroughly understands and complies with contract documents, budgets, and safety, statutory, and legal compliance.
  • Manages project coordination, scheduling, and construction.
  • Monitors project accounting and profitability.
  • Maintains constructive relationships and supportive communications with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, community officials, P1 staff, and immediate supervisor.
  • Leads subordinates as defined by P1's leadership model and its operating principles.
  • Directly contributes to the success of the company by effectively managing the construction project to ensure timely completion within budget.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction or electrical engineering related discipline, OR at least five years of electrical construction field trade experience/training/education, OR equivalent combination of the above.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Construction Project Manager on large construction projects, directly overseeing electrical construction work.
  • Experience in Mission Critical or Advanced Technologies construction projects is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a well-maintained vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Mission Critical or Advanced Technologies construction projects is preferred.
