About the position

JT4 is seeking a Mission Operations/Test Analyst V for Edwards Air Force Base located in California. This is an onsite position. The role involves assisting in the developmental and operational testing of internal and external customer systems. The analyst will serve as an interface between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure that the parametric data required is available for test data analysis and accurately reflects the system configuration and operational characteristics. The employee will be responsible for developing data analysis tools, processes, or products for analysis and providing analytical mentorship to junior analysts. They will analyze pre-test predictions to design test events and profiles, define data collection requirements, and establish go/no-go criteria to meet test objectives. Additionally, the analyst will brief mission execution plans, conduct test activities from control centers, and provide system performance monitoring. Responsibilities also include ordering quality control (QC) and analyzing data, identifying and resolving data anomalies, and addressing performance variances of the System Under Test. The analyst will present test findings and recommendations to the 445 TS and author test documents such as Data Management and Analysis Plans and Test Support documentation. The position requires providing technical expertise on the test process and capabilities of the virtual range environment, as well as assisting with leadership, organization, vision, innovation, and supervisory skills within a technical branch. The analyst will develop advanced data analysis tools, processes, or products for complex analysis and provide analytical mentorship to mid-level and junior analysts. They will also analyze pre-test predictions to design complex test events and profiles, define data collection requirements, and establish go/no-go criteria to meet complex test objectives, while briefing complex mission execution plans and directing complex test activities from control centers with expert system performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developmental and operational testing of internal and external customer systems.

  • Provide system performance monitoring during test activities.
  • Order QC and analyze data; identify and resolve data anomalies and performance variances.
  • Present test findings and recommendations to 445 TS.
  • Author test documents including Data Management and Analysis Plans and Test Support documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise on the test process and capabilities of the virtual range environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of technical training and at least 15-20 years of related experience, or an associate degree and 12 years of related experience, or a related bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics) and 10 years of related experience, or a related master's degree and 8 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering and analysis to serve as a technical authority on projects.
  • Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in technology to solve problems in the specialty area.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license.
  • U.S. citizenship.
