In the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), the members of the Shared Services team play a crucial role in supporting all Agile teams on the Agile Release Train (ART). As a Data Scientist, you will be recognized as a master in your field and will support the implementation of strategic goals established by the team. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing innovative products, processes, standards, models, and operational plans. This will be achieved through thorough research, analysis, and integration of data and best practices, all aimed at positively impacting the functional and performance results developed by the Agile Teams. Your role will have a significant organizational impact as you will be tasked with implementing strategic goals set by functional leadership. You will establish operational plans for your job area that will have a short-to-mid-term impact on results, typically within a 1-2 year timeframe. Your contributions will provide measurable input into new products, processes, systems, and operational plans that will influence the overall function results. Innovation and complexity are key aspects of this position. You will demonstrate technical innovation in supporting business objectives and the mission of the organization. Your responsibilities will include improving existing processes and systems, which will require significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation. You will face numerous problems and issues that are typically undefined, where information may be difficult to obtain. Conducting extensive investigations to understand the root causes of these problems will be essential, leveraging your technical knowledge and conceptualizing skills to devise effective solutions. Communication and influence are critical attributes for this role. You will be expected to communicate effectively with parties both within and outside your job function, including customers and vendors. Your ability to influence others to accept your job function's views and practices will be vital, as will your capacity to communicate with executive leadership regarding significant organizational matters. You will also conduct briefings with senior leaders within your job function. Leadership and talent management will be part of your responsibilities as well. You will provide guidance, coaching, and training to other technical employees and lead large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, often involving large cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.
