About the position

The position is for a Software Engineering Lead within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Team at CACI, focusing on mission-critical software solutions. The role involves overseeing the design and implementation of micro-services and mission threads, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring high standards of quality in software development. The lead will work closely with customers to define and deliver value through agile methodologies, emphasizing continuous improvement and rapid feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of mission-focused micro-services and mission threads.
• Mentor junior developers and staff, setting high standards for quality design and code.
• Define and implement solutions based on Agile Release Train (ART) backlog features and enablers.
• Develop systems using coding skills and experience, leveraging the DevOps pipeline for deployment.
• Ensure quality and performance of new functionalities through testing and integration.
• Deploy increments of value to customers, supporting deployment efforts.
• Engage with customers to build empathy and participate in product definition.
• Support Program Increment Planning and perform team planning for short increments of value.
• Integrate and test frequently, synchronize with other teams, and build a continuous delivery pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a technical field or 14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• More than 10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, and/or Python for developing mission-focused solutions.
• Experience deploying within DoD and IC environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications.
• Expertise in digital signal processing and sensor orchestration.
• Familiarity with operational testing and multiple test environments.
• Knowledge of the TCPED process for operations and intelligence planning.
• Experience with the PADITIM Software Development Life Cycle.
