Apex Systems is seeking a Mission Systems Electronic Warfare Self Protection Hardware Engineer to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. This role will play a crucial role in developing, designing, and validating complex electronic and electrical systems. The engineer will collaborate with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for an aircraft program, focusing on self-protection capabilities. This involves analyzing and translating requirements into system, hardware, and software designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, aircraft certification requirements, and customer specifications. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing hardware and interface specifications for the Mission Systems self-protection capability onboard the aircraft. Testing and validating system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met, particularly regarding self-protection effectiveness, will be a key responsibility. Additionally, the engineer will assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with specified requirements. Problem-solving concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle will also be part of the role, providing support and troubleshooting as needed. Researching specific technology advances for potential application to address company business needs and enhance self-protection capabilities will be essential. The engineer will focus on hardware qualification and aircraft certification processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the integration and testing of Mission Systems self-protection hardware and software is expected. The role requires close interaction with customers, including those from the US, UK, Korea, Turkey, Australia, and others, to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
