About the position

As a Mission Systems Operator (MSO)/Airborne Mission Commander (AMC) III, you will play a crucial role in supporting overseas operational missions by utilizing your expertise in Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. This position involves the use of advanced systems such as SIGINT, ELINT, COMINT, and RADAR to monitor and track airborne, ground, and maritime objects of interest. You will be responsible for executing pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties, ensuring the safe and effective operation of assigned sensor suites, and contributing to mission planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all assigned preflight, flight, post flight, and mission planning duties required to operate an assigned sensor suite safely and effectively.
  • Conduct mission system inspection, operation, troubleshooting, debriefings, and intelligence product preparation and distribution.
  • Provide analysis and distribution of multi-source information via on-board aircraft communications systems.
  • Collect and analyze information while functioning as an aircrew member on a multi-position aircraft.
  • Develop and verify procedures for use with new aircraft features and create operational and safety procedures and training syllabus courseware.
  • Establish and maintain all required flight qualifications for this position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Progressive experience with CRM and Airmanship.
  • Advanced knowledge of Small Secure Datalink (SSDL) radio functionality.
  • Advanced experience with ORM and CRM Airmanship.
  • Experience with the practical application of SIGINT, ELINT, COMINT, and/or RADAR.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Current Active Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) functionality.
  • Experience with encryption equipment and materials.
  • Experience with Multi-Level Aircraft Stacks utilizing ROZ & TEZ tactics, MEDEVAC/CSAR, Direct Action (DA) Raids, Air Warden, HAF/GAF, INFILs, Route/CIED Scans, laser procedures, Troops in Contact (TIC), and CAS stack TTP's.
  • 2000+ hours of flight time in deployed operations.
  • Experience as Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Air Traffic Control (ATC), ISR Tactical Controllers (ITCs).
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures (FGOP).
  • Prior experience with CRM/ORM.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Operations.
  • Previous OCONUS deployment experience in remote locations.
