About the position
The Restoration Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for calculating job budgets, preparing formal bids, and overseeing restoration projects in a commercial construction environment. This role involves interfacing with clients, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and leading teams to achieve safe and efficient project completion.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing project proposals to determine budget, time frames, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
- Outlining work plans and assigning duties, responsibilities, and authority to project staff; awarding subcontracts and issuing purchase orders.
- Arranging all permits, drawings, and submittals required; negotiating and executing all change orders.
- Preparing project reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Conferring with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems, modifying schedules or plans as necessary.
- Preparing and maintaining job costs on a daily/weekly basis and reviewing them with project personnel.
- Monitoring project closeout, including final quantities, change orders, and releases from agreements.
- Obtaining letters of acceptance.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in Commercial Restoration Construction PM/Estimation
- Working knowledge of commercial restoration construction documentation
- General contracting knowledge
- Ability to write and review contracts
- Experience with Xactimate software
- BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus
- Knowledge of Mold Remediation, Water Damage Restoration, and Fire Damage Restoration processes
- Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Ability to produce timely results of high quality and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills with a technical orientation
- Ability to identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards
- IICRC, FSRT, AMR, WRT Certifications are a plus
