About the position

The Mitigation/Reconstruction Project Manager (PM) in Tallahassee is responsible for overseeing commercial restoration construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This role involves estimating project costs, preparing bids, and managing job sites while interfacing with clients and project personnel to maintain technical specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review project proposals to determine budget, time frames, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope authority to project staff; award subcontracts and issue purchase orders.
  • Arrange all permits, drawings, and submittals required; negotiate and execute all change orders.
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems, modifying schedules or plans as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain job costs on a daily/weekly basis and review with project personnel.
  • Monitor project closeout, including final quantities, change orders, and releases from agreements.
  • Obtain letters of acceptance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in Commercial Restoration Construction PM/Estimation
  • Working knowledge of commercial restoration construction documentation
  • General contracting knowledge
  • Ability to write and review contracts
  • Experience with Xactimate software
  • BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus
  • Knowledge of Mold Remediation, Water Damage Restoration, and Fire Damage Restoration processes and theories
  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Ability to produce timely results of high quality and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a technical orientation
  • Ability to identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards
  • IICRC, FSRT, AMR, WRT Certifications are a plus
