About the position

The Mixologist at Salt & the Cellar (Ette Hotel) is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service in a fine dining environment. This role requires a personable and energetic individual who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. The Mixologist will prepare cocktails, interact with customers, and maintain a clean and organized bar area, contributing to an excellent dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare cocktails for bar and restaurant patrons.
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
  • Introduce bar and restaurant menu.
  • Attend to customers upon entrance to the restaurant or bar.
  • Present menus, serve, and help customers select food/beverages.
  • Recommend daily specials to successfully up-sell limited-time food products.
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Execute all financial transactions according to departmental and company policy.
  • Keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
  • Prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.
  • Remain accessible and friendly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend all required trainings and department meetings.

Requirements

  • TIPs certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServeSafe training
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Punctuality and good attendance
  • Thorough and consistent sanitation standards & protocols

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of bartending experience (Preferred)
  • 2 years of fine dining experience (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
