About the position

The Market Manager at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for managing the implementation of specific business objectives and projects at a market or care setting level, particularly focusing on rural markets in Brazos Valley and East Texas. This role involves supporting strategic planning processes, business development initiatives, and providing data analysis to inform decision-making and achieve strategic growth. The position requires a strong background in healthcare strategy and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to implement effective market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for strategic planning process, service line and key strategy projects, strategic planning reviews, and other strategic and financial planning related processes.
  • Supports business development and service line projects, medical staff development planning, CON applications and other planning related processes.
  • Supports business and tactical plan development and implementation of business development opportunities and services/products.
  • Implements and monitors tactical plans that are aligned with key business and strategic initiatives.
  • Partners with analytics team to develop and provide objective data and analysis to make informed decisions and achieve strategic growth.
  • Ensures credible and current access to strategic market intelligence; monitors and analyzes trends in the environment to inform and support business development, service line development and business case development.
  • Runs complex analysis, forecasts and builds data models.
  • Works with peers and stakeholders to achieve functional goals and carry out initiatives efficiently.
  • Collaborates in Physician Workforce Development Planning and provider development plans.
  • Supports independent physician recruitment necessary to maintain access to care and implement growth initiatives.
  • Partners with other Growth functions locally, regionally and nationally including marketing, communications, and sales to develop and implement market strategies and growth plans.
  • Partners with operations and clinical functions to implement strategies and growth plans.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; additional job-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare strategy, business development or related field required.
  • Understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Ability to summarize and make relevant recommendations on analytical findings and research on industry/market trends and best practices.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the market.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.
  • Proficient in Google Suite set of tools and Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or MHA preferred.
  • Comfortable completing complex tasks and projects on a tight deadline.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and move priorities forward while engaging key stakeholders.
