The Audio Algorithms team at Apple is seeking a highly skilled engineer to advance speech and audio technologies. This role involves researching, developing, and optimizing machine learning technologies for audio processing across various Apple products. The engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to integrate innovative ideas into products that will impact billions of customers.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop novel machine learning technologies for audio processing.
• Implement and optimize audio features on Apple's products.
• Collaborate with teams across product development, Acoustics, and Audio Software to integrate ideas into products.
• Push the state of the art in audio technologies.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing machine learning pipelines.
• Fluency in C++, Python, and common software engineering practices.
• Experience developing real-time audio processing software.
• MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Research experience in audio algorithm development using machine learning (released product features, patents, papers, etc.).
• Experience with Generative Machine Learning.
• Experience developing echo cancellation, denoising, source separation, and beam-forming algorithms.
• Familiarity with psycho-acoustics, speech, and language modeling.
