About the position

The Grade K-6 Half-Time Intervention Teacher at Moanalua Elementary School is responsible for providing targeted support to students in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role focuses on enhancing student learning through a rigorous curriculum while fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted intervention support to students in grades K-6.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional assistance.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students in need of intervention.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
  • Completion of a Teacher's Education Program within 3 years of hire if not already completed.
