About the position

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mobile Application Developer to join our team in a remote capacity. This position offers variable hours, allowing for flexibility between full-time and part-time work, with no on-site presence required. The primary focus of this role will be to enhance and modernize our existing mobile applications, particularly our outdated React Native Android app, ensuring it meets current standards and is reintroduced to the Play Store. The successful candidate will be responsible for rewriting the entire Android application using either Java or Kotlin, adhering to the same SDK architecture as our iOS application. This will involve not only coding but also designing and implementing a user-friendly UI/UX that enhances the overall user experience. Additionally, the developer will assist with iOS development tasks as needed, contributing to a cohesive mobile application strategy across platforms. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively with team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development, particularly in Android and React Native, and will be familiar with iOS SDK architecture. A solid understanding of UI/UX design principles is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills to navigate challenges that may arise during the development process.

Responsibilities

  • Fix and update our old React Native Android app and get it back in the Play store.
  • Rewrite the entire Android app (Java or Kotlin) using the same SDK architecture as iOS.
  • Design and implement a user-friendly UI/UX.
  • Assist with iOS development as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mobile application development, specifically in Android (Java or Kotlin) and React Native.
  • Familiarity with iOS SDK architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with iOS development is a plus.
