About The Position

Project Canary is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to join their team, focusing on building high-quality enterprise-scale React Native applications for both iOS and Android platforms. The role involves collaborating with the engineering team to architect and develop mobile applications while ensuring a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a growth-stage environment and contribute to the company's mission of improving emissions reporting and management in the energy sector.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
• 4+ years of professional React Native development experience in an Agile environment with a frontend/UI mobile-first development.
• 3+ years' experience designing and implementing mobile applications.
• Strong fundamental understanding of React, Redux, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of authentication/authorization using OAuth and JWT/bearer tokens.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment where you will be expected to be in office 3+ days/week.
• Experience working with Mapbox and real-time mapping.
• Experience streaming data from 3rd party devices over Bluetooth or WIFI.

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality enterprise-scale React Native apps with pixel-perfect UIs across both Android and iOS mobile platforms.
• Understand requirements and user stories by reading existing legacy code and talking to end users.
• Participate in R&D and exploration of new technologies, frameworks, best practices, and techniques to continuously improve our products and services.
