About the position

TEGNA Inc. is seeking a dynamic Mobile Application Developer to join its Digital Content Team. This role involves supporting existing applications and developing new ones, contributing to TEGNA's digital products that engage millions of users monthly. The development team operates in a nimble, startup-like environment, focusing on building user-facing websites, mobile apps, and custom tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with other developers, designers, and product/business managers to develop new features consistent with product roadmap while following all coding standards
• Build, deploy, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Pay attention to detail
• Learn and absorb new technologies quickly
• Be a strong team player and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands

Requirements

• Proficient with .NET Core, C#, JSON, and Object-Oriented Design principles
• Experience working with Xamarin Native, .NET For Android/iOS considered a plus
• Experience with applications that consume data from RESTful APIs/SDKs
• Experience with programming and troubleshooting
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience developing Mobile applications, enterprise applications a plus
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks as needed
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Having familiarity with the Google Play Store and Apple App Store considered a plus
