About the position

The Mobile Application Technical Lead at Leidos will lead a team of developers and designers to create a mobile intelligence delivery application for the Intelligence Community. This role focuses on modernizing a legacy solution to enhance intelligence compilation and delivery for high-level defense stakeholders. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in both front-end and back-end development, along with strong leadership skills to foster collaboration and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of application developers, designers, and task leaders.
  • Conduct technical and industrial research to identify approaches for replacing current applications.
  • Create a system for delivering intelligence via platform-agnostic digital tablets.
  • Collaborate with government leads and stakeholders to define project requirements, goals, and timelines.
  • Ensure developed capabilities are compatible with the network operating environment and implement security measures.
  • Prioritize availability, reliability, and scalability of the system as it expands to a larger customer base.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and JSON.
  • Utilize back-end technologies like SQL-lite, ElasticSearch, SQL, and server-side languages to create a secure architecture.
  • Ensure system compatibility with other customer applications.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
  • Monitor project progress, address technical challenges, and provide updates to government and contract program managers.
  • Facilitate Agile methodologies for iterative development, including sprint planning and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to embed security measures into the development process.
  • Advocate for best practices in code quality and conduct regular code reviews.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph.
  • BS in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience with 10+ years in software development or related field; or 8+ years with a master's degree.
  • Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Object Notation.
  • Experience with mobile development using Swift, Java, or equivalent cross-platform technologies.
  • Experience with database design and development (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr).
  • Experience overseeing application development and presenting updates to government leads and customers.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating issues that pose a risk to project priorities.

  • Experience managing a software development team through a government ATO process.
  • Experience developing unclassified software for configuration in a classified environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $122,200.00 - $220,900.00 based on experience and qualifications.
