About the position

The Mobile Associate role at T-Mobile is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service. As part of a Retail Team of Experts, Mobile Associates act as brand ambassadors, engaging with customers to provide a world-class experience while promoting T-Mobile's products and services. This position focuses on building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering personalized solutions in a fast-paced retail environment. It is a learning role that prepares associates for advancement to the Mobile Expert level.

Responsibilities

  • Builds proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world-class customer experience.
  • Helps customers continue their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Explores individual customer needs and provides hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology.
  • Engages in side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions for customers.
  • Approaches service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
  • Becomes skilled in using digital tools to enhance customer interactions and onboarding.
  • Completes training on T-Mobile in-store experience, new skills, and processes.
  • Seeks out information between customer interactions to learn about innovations in wireless technology.
  • Establishes relationships with T-Mobile employees across channels to enhance the customer experience.
  • Identifies and hands off small business leads to appropriate channels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Passionate customer advocate with a desire to connect with customers authentically.
  • Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Willingness to collaborate with peers and store leaders while serving customers.
  • Effective at balancing customer needs with performance goals.
