About the position
The Mobile Associate role at T-Mobile is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service. As part of a Retail Team of Experts, Mobile Associates act as brand ambassadors, engaging with customers to provide a world-class experience. This position focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and recommending appropriate products and services. It is a learning role aimed at developing skills for advancement to a Mobile Expert position.
Responsibilities
- Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world-class customer experience.
- Help customers continue their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
- Explore individual customer needs and provide hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology.
- Engage in side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions for customers.
- Approach service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
- Become skilled in using digital tools during customer interactions and onboarding.
- Demonstrate T-Mobile's coverage and services effectively to customers.
- Complete training on T-Mobile's in-store experience and new skills.
- Establish relationships with T-Mobile employees across channels to enhance customer experience.
- Identify and handoff small business leads and support team initiatives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, preferably in a retail environment (Required)
- Passionate customer advocate with a desire to connect with customers (Required)
- Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
- Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas (Required)
- Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required)
