About The Position

The Relief Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician at Riverside Community Care plays a crucial role in providing crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance abuse issues. This position involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support and evaluate consumers of the Community Crisis Stabilization Unit, ensuring continuity of care through collaboration with community providers. The clinician will engage in crisis intervention activities, including evaluation, stabilization, referral, and follow-up, while also participating in the daily operations of the Mobile Crisis Intervention program.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human service field.
  • Two years of experience in the field of mental health preferred, including internship experience.
  • At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred for mobile crisis intervention services to youth under 21.
  • Knowledge of and experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer fluency including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for limited local travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention services on-site, in the community, and in emergency departments.
  • Conduct evaluations and stabilization for individuals in crisis.
  • Make referrals and provide follow-up support to consumers of the Community Crisis Stabilization Unit.
  • Act as a liaison with community providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in telephone triage as needed.
  • Engage in daily operations of the Mobile Crisis Intervention program.
