About the position
The Mobile Crisis Responder position at New Horizons of the Treasure Coast Inc. is a full-time role focused on providing crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises across multiple counties. The responder will conduct emergency mental health screenings, provide immediate interventions, and offer follow-up support to ensure stabilization and prevent further distress. This role is essential in improving the mental health landscape of the community by responding to crisis calls and working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conducts emergency mental health screenings for new and existing clients in the community.
- Provides emergency interventions and appropriate dispositions for assigned clients.
- Searches for client MR#s/Assigns new MR#s as necessary.
- Enters data into MRT records including Agency Responses, Response Locations, Follow-Up Surveys, and Quarterly Outcomes.
- Documents all emergency interventions in writing, including aftercare, safety plans, and referrals.
- Administers written documentation for services rendered in accordance with the Agency's standards.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or mental health counseling.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a mental health related field.
- Completion of a course in emergency screening prior to or within three months of assuming emergency screening responsibilities.
