About the position

The Mobile Crisis Responder position is a full-time role focused on providing mental health therapy services in the community, particularly in crisis situations. The responder will collaborate with local first responders to deliver therapy and support to clients, ensuring their mental health needs are met effectively. The role requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs, including potential evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and complete diagnostic assessments in the community and homes of clients.
  • Participate in individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Utilize psychotherapeutic techniques and modalities that match clinical needs.
  • Develop treatment plans by assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses, defining mental health and substance abuse problems, and setting specific goals and objectives.
  • Provide crisis and open access services to individuals as needed.
  • Continuously assess each patient's potential for self-harm or harm to others to prevent serious incidents.
  • Work with patients, families, and social networks to achieve treatment plan goals.
  • Consult with other community caregivers to strengthen and coordinate social intervention programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a social services field, or High School Diploma/Associate's degree with 3 years of experience in behavioral/mental health case management.
  • LSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC in the State of Ohio (Preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in mental or behavioral health preferred; prior experience with ACT preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with an insurable, clean driving abstract.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPR Certification
  • Experience with ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) preferred.
