About the position

The Mobile Crisis Response Team - Practitioner provides essential crisis services to individuals and families experiencing mental health crises. This role involves collaboration with community agencies, including law enforcement and hospitals, to prevent psychiatric hospitalizations and ensure timely crisis intervention. Practitioners are expected to respond to crisis calls, provide stabilization services, and maintain accurate documentation under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention and prevention services in various community locations, including jails, hospitals, and private residences.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, and medical providers to plan and evaluate crisis services.
  • Participate in clinical staff conferences to facilitate client transitions between services.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Crisis Resource Directory.
  • Support and educate significant others of clients receiving services.
  • Coordinate cases and review intervention outcomes in regular team meetings.
  • Produce and maintain accurate client service records and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Mobile Crisis Response services.

Requirements

  • Mental Health Practitioner Status obtained through education and/or experience.
  • Good verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
