Peraton is seeking a Mobile Cybersecurity Research Engineer to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. This position is integral to our mission of delivering innovative solutions and revolutionary capabilities to address complex challenges faced by government agencies, utilities, and commercial customers. As a part of Peraton Labs, you will be involved in cybersecurity research that protects mission-critical systems and national cyber infrastructure through a variety of initiatives, including computer network defense, secure-by-design techniques, and cyber operations experimentation platforms. The role requires a deep understanding of mobile operating systems, particularly Android and iOS, as well as expertise in reverse engineering and program analysis. You will be responsible for developing and deploying solutions for mobile applications and operating systems, ensuring their security and resilience against cyber threats. Your work will involve identifying vulnerabilities, remediating them, and contributing to the development of emerging embedded cyber capabilities. You will also engage in resilient networking and software-defined networking to support cyber mission goals, leveraging artificial intelligence techniques such as reasoning, probabilistic inference, and machine learning. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. You will collaborate with a team of experts with a rich heritage in cybersecurity, drawing from the legacy of Bell Labs, Bellcore, and Telcordia.
