About the position

The Mobile Dentist position at University Health involves providing dental care to intellectually and developmentally disabled patients throughout the State of Missouri. This role requires travel to various locations using mobile dental units, ensuring that patients receive necessary treatments and supervision. The dentist will also oversee the operation and maintenance of dental equipment and manage administrative tasks related to the mobile unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental treatment and supervision for patients with developmental disabilities.
• Oversee the operation and routine maintenance of dental and supporting equipment.
• Manage administrative activities related to the mobile unit.
• Supervise auxiliaries on the mobile unit during patient care.
• Travel to various sites across Missouri to deliver dental services.

Requirements

• Graduation from an ADA accredited school of dentistry and eligibility for a Missouri Dental license.
• Membership in the Truman Medical Center Medical Staff.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
