BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Mobile Developer for a remote opportunity. The position is for a Mobile Developer specializing in Android development, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible. This is a contract position expected to last for 6 months, with the potential for long-term engagement. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 12 years of equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Kotlin and Java, as well as a strong understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studios, and Google Android design principles. The Mobile Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications, ensuring they are user-friendly and efficient. The candidate should have experience with Android Jetpack components, working with remote data via REST and JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs. A solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle is essential, along with experience in CI/CD tools for automated testing and deployment processes. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles for mobile development and familiarity with Agile development methodologies are also important for this role. In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will have a working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. Strong development experience, including defining requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions, is highly valued. The candidate should also be aware of the latest Android updates and features, keeping up-to-date with new releases and technologies introduced in the latest versions of Android.
