About the position

The Mobile Developer will join the Ignition Tax Product team, focusing on building digital tools for global accountants to manage complex tax and financial operations. This role involves developing and refactoring mobile application features using Expo SDK and React Native, collaborating with UI/UX teams, and ensuring a high-quality user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop cross-platform mobile applications and features using Expo SDK and React Native.
• Refactor existing application features for improved modular architecture and responsive UI.
• Collaborate with designers on UI elements and work with backend developers for API integration.
• Engage with stakeholders to interpret business needs into application features.
• Conduct independent research, present findings, and communicate design visions.
• Contribute to design language documentation and highlight industry trends for improvement.
• Maintain thorough documentation and prepare presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with QA to develop test cases, perform unit testing, and ensure application security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, or Management Information Systems.
• Proficiency with Expo SDK and React Native.
• Experience with native build tools and package managers such as NPM, Xcode, Android Studio, and CLI tools.
• Familiarity with JSON data models and mobile integration with REST APIs.
• Strong documentation skills in Markdown.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing intuitive, visually engaging mobile applications and progressive web apps.
• Experience in delivering client-facing applications.
• Agile methodology experience.
• Strong self-direction, and excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Native build tools: Xcode, Android Studio, CLI tools.
• JSON, QA, Database modeling, JavaScript, Redux, and ReactJS.
• Knowledge of cross-platform development, shell scripting, REST, OAuth, stored procedures.
• Experience with iOS, Android, Gradle, and RN (React Native).
