About the position

BlueWater Federal is seeking a Mobile Developer to support FEMA in enhancing digital communication services. The role focuses on implementing user-friendly updates to FEMA.gov and the FEMA App, aimed at improving customer experience and ensuring effective communication regarding agency initiatives for 2024. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Provide development support for web systems to enhance FEMA websites, improving user experience based on priorities set by the FEMA web team.
• Leverage insights from UX/CX to scope improvements for FEMA.gov and other FEMA websites, including front-end web design and new features.
• Define development activities related to suggested improvements and collaborate with FEMA web team and program office teams to prioritize actions.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for a High-risk Public Trust; US Citizenship required.
• 4+ years of experience with Mobile App Development using Ionic Framework, including HTML, Javascript, CSS Integration, Android Studio, Google Play Store management, Xcode, Apple App Store management, and Ruby on Rails (RoR) Application Development.
• Experience in building and maintaining a RoR application that has been publicly deployed and maintained over time.
• Understanding and experience in developing 508 compliant applications.
