About the position

The Mobile Device Coordinator at Newcomb and Company is responsible for the daily management of mobile devices, including Apple iPhones, iPads, and MiFi devices. This role involves overseeing device setup, user account management, and troubleshooting, while also serving as a local IT representative for Level 1 support. The position is designed to promote to an IT Technician after a successful tenure of 6 months to 1 year, which includes additional responsibilities and a pay increase.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform daily management of mobile devices.
  • Reset users' passwords as needed for field personnel.
  • Complete setup of new user accounts using Cherwell.
  • Terminate accounts for separated users, collecting and wiping devices clean.
  • Manage devices via the Wireless Watchdog company portal.
  • Keep inventory updated in the EMCOR Asset Management system (EAM).
  • Order mobile devices through the Corporate Central Procurement system.
  • Reconcile monthly mobile device bills from Wireless Watchdog.
  • Attend EMCOR corporate IT meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in troubleshooting iOS devices is required.
  • Experience in managing mobile devices is a plus but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Office365 products is necessary.
  • Active CompTIA A+ Certification or in progress, or a degree in a related tech/STEM field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient with Apple iPhones and iPads, including updating and setup.
  • Ability to troubleshoot device and app issues.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Organized worker and thinker.
