About the position

GovCIO is seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Device Manager to oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of all mobile devices within the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of mobile devices, aligning with the company's goals, and providing support across various departments. The position is based in San Antonio, TX, and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of mobile device management solutions and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain mobile device management (MDM) solutions across the organization.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other mobile hardware.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure all mobile devices meet the organization's security policies and standards.
  • Monitor and manage mobile device performance, including troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to end-users.
  • Enforce policies regarding the use, security, and management of mobile devices within the organization.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of mobile devices to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and educate employees on the proper use and security of mobile devices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile device management and recommend improvements to existing processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with 3 - 6 years of experience in mobile device management or a related IT role.
  • Experience in mobile device management or a related IT role.
  • Strong understanding of MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of mobile operating systems, including iOS and Android, and their enterprise management features.
  • Experience with mobile device security protocols, including encryption, VPNs, and remote wipe technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to managing tasks and responsibilities.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in mobile device management or related IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Mobile+).
