About the position
The Mobile Diesel Technician role at Aerotek involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of diesel equipment for various industries, including manufacturing, construction, and oil/gas. The position requires a high standard of customer service and the ability to work autonomously while traveling to client sites. The technician will be responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction, with an emphasis on flexibility and on-call availability.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on company-owned compressors, dryers, gas generators, and ancillary equipment.
- Document all work performed daily using company provided hardware and software.
- Display the ability to absorb a higher level of learning including VSD's, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
- Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be able to work overtime on short notice.
Requirements
- Experience with diesel mechanics and service technician roles.
- Knowledge of Cummings engines, Caterpillar, United Rentals, and Siemens equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment.
- Proficiency in documenting work using hardware and software.
- Flexibility to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Ability to work overtime on short notice.
