About the position
The Software Engineer position at Fidelity Investments focuses on developing and supporting scalable mobile platforms for iOS and Android applications. The role involves applying mobile development and testing skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance customer-facing software solutions. The engineer will also support the team in adopting test automation frameworks and best practices to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve customer-facing software solutions for mobile applications.
- Apply strong mobile development skills in iOS and Android environments.
- Support the team in adopting test automation frameworks and best practices.
- Write and maintain application features and automated tests, including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests, and interoperability tests.
- Collaborate with team members to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
- Integrate reliable and accurate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in building, debugging, and supporting mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks using XCUI for iOS or Espresso for Android.
- Proficiency in Xcode and Swift (iOS) or Android Studio and Kotlin (Android).
- Experience delivering software in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with cloud technology.
