About the position

As a Mobile Engineer at CBRE, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for various systems and equipment within buildings and facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that all mechanical, industrial, plumbing, and life safety systems operate efficiently and comply with applicable standards. You will also oversee maintenance operations, manage work orders, and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building machinery and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility.
  • Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
  • Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operational compliance.
  • Oversee compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of job discipline and related fields.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work to build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification and valid driver's license required.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in facilities management or engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
