About the position
The Mobile Equipment Servicer (Lube Technician) is responsible for performing maintenance and servicing tasks on various types of vehicles. This role involves ensuring vehicles are properly fueled, fluids are checked, and preventive maintenance is conducted to keep the equipment in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities
- Supply vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel and record mileage and tag numbers.
- Check fluid levels, battery, cooling system, and engine oil.
- Inspect tires for wear and pressure.
- Replace wiper blades, fuses, sealed beam lights, and light bulbs.
- Perform preventive maintenance services and change oil and filters.
- Lubricate and grease vehicles as needed.
- Wash and clean the interiors and exteriors of vehicles.
- Maintain inventories of parts and supplies.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
Requirements
- Experience in vehicle maintenance and servicing.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in automotive service or related field.
- Experience working with government contracts.
